On Friday, Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr. reported the arrest of Pleasantville resident Andrew Mikhail, who was arrested earlier this month on Route 9D in Philipstown following the routine traffic stop.

A deputy sheriff on patrol at approximately 2:53 p.m. on April 14 stopped Mikhail for the broken brake light. During the stop, a computer check determined that Mikhail was driving with a suspended license, and further investigation found that the license plates on the vehicle did not match the car he was driving.

Police said that the deputy sheriff also discovered that Mikhail had an active arrest warrant, which had been issued by the Town of Mount Pleasant Justice Court for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Mikhail was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and various traffic violations. Following arraignment, Mikhail was turned over to police officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department to answer the arrest warrant.
